The title says it all - these are mainly photos I have taken in and around Gateshead in the North-East of England. My main area of study is church history - so there are plenty of pictures of churches, but there are also panoramic views, bridges across the Tyne, local works of art etc. It's mainly Gateshead, but not entirely - there are some shots across the river in Newcastle, together with others from Northumberland and County Durham. I've also included some scans of old maps and engravings of the region. If you want to see more shots from the north of the Tyne, you can't beat Steve Elwood's 'Photographs of the Newcastle upon Tyne area'
